David Salom: PROXIMA PRUEBA – MONZA

Este fin de semana vuelve el Mundial de Superbikes y nuestro representante mallorquín se desplaza hasta Italia para luchar de nuevo con los pilotos más rápidos del Campeonato del Mundo.
La quinta prueba del mundial de Superbikes se va a disputar este fin de semana en el Autodromo de Monza, otra de las pistas legendarias del calendario.
Lo que mas diferencia este circuito de otros es que su trazado permite ir con el gas a fondo durante buena parte de la vuelta. Con 5.793 metros de cuerda, cinco curvas a la izquierda y ocho a la derecha, y una recta principal de 1195 metros.
David Salom junto a su equipo, Team Pedercini, esperan poder encontrar el mejor "set-up" para esta carrera y acercarse un poco más a los puestos de cabeza.
Tanto el equipo como sus amigos y familiares esperan que las molestias de la muñeca derecha de David no aumenten y que la intervención, prevista para el próximo mes de Agosto, solucione esas molestias y permita a Salom dar el máximo sobre la moto.
Con un total de 12 carreras repartidas en estos próximos tres meses, el reto físico para David es evidente y este es el momento de luchar por mejorar los resultados y seguir evolucionando la moto para sacarle el máximo partido.

PREPARACIÓN PARA LA PROXIMA PRUEBA DEL CEV

El joven piloto mallorquín que participa esta temporada en el Campeonato de España de Velocidad con el equipo Neu Grip, acudirá este proximo fin de semana a la prueba puntuable para el Campeonato Extremeño que se celebra en el circuito de Jerez.
Esta prueba servirá como entrenamiento para la próxima carrera del Campeonato de España que se celebrará también en Jerez el día 7 del próximo mes de junio.
Con una inscripción cercana al centenar de pilotos, Kike Ferrer participará en la categoría Supersport y junto al equipo técnico de Dues Rodes, que ya se encuentra en Jerez esperan poder preparar la próxima prueba del CEV y luchar por los puestos de cabeza en el nacional.

Noch einen Monat bis zum Nennschluß der Creme21 Austria youngtimer tour – Österreichs legendärster Veranstaltung für Youngtimer!

Die creme21 Austria findet 2009 bereits zum sechsten Mal in Österreich statt – mit gleichen Wurzeln wie das deutsche Pendant, aber einer auf Österreich zugeschnittenen Ausführung. Das Ziel blieb und bleibt das selbe: Fahrspass ohne Stress, Youngtimer-Flair und eine Wertung, die Abwechslung zu Oldtimerveranstaltungen bietet.

Die youngtimer tour 2009 ist vom 9. bis 12. Juli 2009 unterwegs. Erstmals bleiben wir in Wien – drei Nächte lang wird ein Hotel der gehobenen Klasse (****+) in Wien unsere Heimat sein. Unser legendärer Streckenmeister Karl Eder wird wieder spektakuläre und abwechslungsreiche Strecken aussuchen – in Wachau, Waldviertel und Burgenland, und erstmals gibt es Abstecher über die Grenze – Slowakei und Ungarn!

The C.E.R support race, a combination of renowned cars from the Golden Age of endurance in the 70s, has gathered 55 of these Superstars this weekend. Note that the tests will be held on Friday and the one hour race on Saturday afternoon. Another opportunity to come to the circuit as soon as Friday to see these dream cars which will precede, on the «Ardennes Toboggan », the GTs and Prototypes come this weekend to confront their opponents for the 1000 km of Spa.

Bob Simon zeigte sich zufrieden

Für seinen Saisonstart 2009 hatte Bob Simon, dreimaliger Luxemburger Rallyemeister, bei Duwo-Racing einen BMW 130i angemietet und diesen beim 21. European Hill Climb in Eschdorf eingesetzt. Im Laufe der Saison wird Simon dann einige Läufe der Rallyemeisterschaft bestreiten.

Es war das erste Mal, dass Simon ein Rennen in einem Tourenwagen bestritt – in den Qualifikationssitzungen am Samstag konnte er sich um knapp 5’’ (1’13’’627 – 1’10’’049 – 1’08’’810) verbessern.

Bei kühlen Witterungs-bedingungen am Renntag konnte er dann die Rundstreckenreifen nicht auf die erforderliche Betriebstemperatur bringen, zuerst hatte Simon Untersteuern und dann Übersteuern.

Der zweite Aufstieg – die Aussentemperaturen waren etwas angestiegen – war der Beste, zwar hatte er einen leichten Rutscher gleich in der ersten Kurve nach dem Start, trotzdem stimmte die gefahrene Zeit (1’09’’529) ihn zufrieden.

In der Gesamttabelle belegte Simon Platz 111.

La Farmu invita al balear a correr la tercera carrera de su campeonato
MIGUEL SOCÍAS COMPETIRÁ EN EL CIRCUITO DE LA MANGA

El piloto de la Escudería Mallorca Competició ha sido invitado por la Federación
de Automovilismo de la Región de Murcia (FARMU) para que dispute este fin de
semana la tercera carrera del Campeonato Murciano de karting que se celebrará en
el Circuito de La Manga del Mar Menor.
Miguel Socías tomará parte en la prueba al volante de su habitual kart AVK con
motor Puma 64 y participará en la categoría Alevín. Mañana viernes el equipo parte
hacia Alicante y espera estar en el Circuito de La Manga después de comer. Por la
tarde el campaneter tendrá su primera toma de contacto con la pista, aunque no será
hasta el sábado, con motivo de los entrenamientos, cuando pueda hacer sus primeros
kilómetros en este trazado que es totalmente nuevo para el mallorquín.
El domingo por la mañana se realizarán las mangas de carrera, estando previsto que
las distintas competiciones finalicen sobre las 14:00 horas.
En el Circuito de La Manga se han disputado varias pruebas del Campeonato de
España de Karting y cuenta con unas instalaciones de excelente calidad. Su pista
principal tiene una longitud de novecientos cincuenta metros de los cuales cuatrocientos
corresponden a rectas, de manera que podríamos definir el trazado de rápido. La
anchura de la pista supera los 8 metros por lo que no es muy difícil adelantar y
lógicamente ser adelantado.
Tras conocer la noticia de su participación en la tercera prueba del murciano de
karting, Miguel Socías comentaba:
"Estoy muy contento de poder aprovechar esta oportunidad de enfrentarme a nuevos
rivales con diferentes monturas, de esta manera podré mantener el nivel de pilotaje
hasta la próxima cita de la Copa Vallés, que será en el mes de junio. En una carrera
y cuando te peleas con otros pilotos aprendes más que en varios días de entrenamientos
en un circuito que ya conoces." El piloto de MS Motorsport añadía: "Por otro lado
quiero agradecer al Automóvil Club de Murcia y a la Federación Murciana laFERBISPRESS
oportunidad que me brindan invitándome a correr en este precioso circuito."

Canadian driver leads Red Bull Junior Team one-two at Snetterton

The first official FIA Formula Two Championship test has concluded at Snetterton, with Canadian Rob Wickens finishing the day at the top of the timesheets with a time of 59.433s.

Wickens’ flying lap, which was set deep into the afternoon session, was nearly bettered immediately afterwards by fellow Red Bull junior driver Mirko Bortolotti, but the Italian missed out by just 0.168s. Six other drivers dipped below the one minute mark, with Formula Palmer Audi graduate Alex Brundle ending up third quickest.

Experienced Spaniard Andy Soucek was the only driver to set a sub-one minute time in both the morning and afternoon – his afternoon lap of 59.763s was good enough for fourth place. Philipp Eng and Milos Pavlovic were fifth and sixth respectively, but were unable to improve on their early morning pace. Julien Jousse, Sebastian Hohenthal, Mikhail Aleshin and Tobias Hegewald rounded out the top ten.

The 2009 FIA Formula Two Championship looks set to be remarkably close, with a little over one second covering the top 20 drivers at the end of the day. All cars ran today (Wednesday) with brand new bespoke F2 tyres from Avon and the Williams JPH1 enjoyed good reliability with every driver completing more than 50 laps during the day. Natacha Gachnang had the most track time, completing 94 laps in her new F2 car.

Rob Wickens said: “It was a good reward and a good way to end the first test day of testing, but ultimately it’s only the first day of a long season. I really enjoyed it and I felt very comfortable in the car. The competition is very tight. I was surprised at one point when I was only three tenths off the best time, but I was way down in the overall positions. It’s definitely what you can expect from the whole season and I think it should be good.”

Mirko Bortolotti said: “To be honest I just wanted to learn the car and track today so I wasn’t focussed on times, but when I saw that I was second I was really pleased. I am happy with the work we have done and I am enjoying it a lot. All the guys from Williams F1 and MotorSport Vision have done a great job. The car is great and I am really proud to be a part of this championship.”

Alex Brundle said: "I knew the lap was pretty quick. I feel really comfortable in the car and it is good to know that I am there or thereabouts. I really love driving this car – it is mega."
