El equipo Salgar NavarraDakar formado por Pablo Rodríguez y Diego
Vela ha finalizado la Baja España Aragón en la vigésimo octava posición.
Un resultado que a tenor de las previsiones y objetivos iniciales es un
gran logro dadas las duras condiciones de carrera y el objetivo principal
que no era otro que rodar el Proto Salgar, continuando en su evolución
y conseguir acabar la carrera.
Esta ha transcurrido sin mayores inconvenientes que el intenso calor
reinante en Aragón que se multiplicaba dentro del habitáculo del Proto
Salgar pick-up. Aunque no era esa la temperatura que más preocupaba
a Pablo y Diego sino la del motor. Uno de los principales inconvenientes
de la primera versión del coche era la de encontrar un equilibrio entre
potencia y temperatura. Ahora con las nuevas soluciones adoptadas se ha
podido rodar sin que el sistema de refrigeración mostrara ningún signo
de fatiga ni sobrecalentamiento. El trabajo llevado a cabo por Jesús Aguirre
y el mecánico Silvestre Bernardo en la nueva evolución ha dado sus
frutos en esta Baja y ahora se continuará con la programación prevista
modificando el mapa de inyección y gestión electrónica del motor en las
instalaciones de NTTD
Los neumáticos Fedima F-Guide punto azul también han respondido a
las expectativas depositadas en ellos, no han dado ningún tipo de problema
y se muestran como una buena y económica opción en carreras de
aproximadamente quinientos kilómetros de recorrido.
Ya nos merecíamos terminar una carrera, comentaba Pablo Rodríguez,
hemos rodado a un ritmo suave sin forzar en exceso y hemos conseguido
nuestro objetivo. Ha sido una Baja bastante dura y de las siete que llevo
disputadas, es sin ninguna duda, la más calurosa. Finalmente podemos
dar una alegría a nuestros patrocinadores Salgar, Magna y Reyno de
Navarra, que pese a los duros comienzos de temporada han seguido
apoyándonos.

Jenson will be participating in the London Triathlon on Sunday 2 August and as a patron of the Make A Wish Foundation, he will taking the opportunity to raise money for the charity.
