Slovakian adds name to entry list for rounds 13 and 14 this weekend
Slovakian driver Richard Gonda will make his FIA Formula Two Championship debut this weekend (7-9 September) when he joins the grid for rounds 13 and 14 at the Hungaroring.
The 18-year-old has previously raced in Formula Renault 2.0 in both NEC and Eurocup and enjoyed his first outing in the JPH1B F2 car during yesterdays (Thursday) pre-event test, finishing an impressive sixth overall.
Speaking to Formulatwo.com Gonda said: Im pleased to be racing in F2 this weekend. Testing went really well yesterday and we didnt expect to be on the pace of the regular F2 drivers so were happy that we were competitive.
The car is really nice to drive and I was able to adapt pretty quickly although its still a big step up for me. Well have to see how things go in free practice and over the weekend but Ive raced here before which should help and hopefully we can be fighting for the top 10.
Todays first free practice session gets underway at 11:45 (local time) with full coverage, including live timing, available on www.formulatwo.com.
