Still possible to make your entry for the 24H Dubai 2009

At this moment the entries for the 4th edition of the TOYO TIRES 24H Dubai are getting more definite. With a high interest, in total 107 registered teams for 2009, we also expect this year a full start grid with 90 cars. The current financial turmoil in the world, is probably causing that some teams are delaying their payments. On the other hand already 60 teams have paid their complete entry fee and are ready to go to Dubai.

It is still possible to enter with your car. The entry fee is 8310EUR, which includes transport from Rotterdam, please follow this link to make your quick entry now: Quick entry form.

Teams will be accepted on a first come, first take part basis. Date of receipt of the payment of the complete entry fee is valid for your entry, so not the date you filled in the entry form!. As soon as the maximum of 90 paid entries will be reached, additional teams will be put on a waiting list.

Again we will have an international field with teams and drivers coming from many different countries inside as outside of Europe. Last year we had over 35 different nationalities on the start grid.

Success 12H Hungary 2008

On the 27th of September our 12 hour race at the Hungaroring took place. It was a great success. The Schubert Motorsport BMW Z4 M Coupe has won the race. The race may have been 12 hours long by the clock, but it was far more of a sprint than an endurance event. The BMW spent many hours battling with the Jetalliance Porsche 996 RSR. They were seldom more than a lap or two apart, with several on track passes for the lead between them.

Fastest laptime for the Audi CR-8 at the Hungaroring

During the 12 hours race at the Hungaroring the fantastic sports car, the Audi CR-8 with the well known Dutch driver Jaap van Lagen, has set its fastest lap time. After the qualification it finished on the 4th place with a lap time of 1:53,498. This was just 0,2 seconds behind the Jetalliance Porsche 996 RSR. The difference between the final winner, the Schubert BMW Z4, and the Audi was actually less than 2 seconds. This Audi CR-8 is the competition race version of Audi’s R8 sports coupe, developed and prepared following an initiative by Creventic BV, the organisers of the TOYO TIRES 24H of Dubai and the 24H SERIES.
