Only 78 days and "Le 24H Dakar 2009" will start at the circuit Baobabs in Senegal on the 20-21-22 February 2009. This new and exotic race is set up by our organisation Creventic, we are the organisers of the international well known 24H of Dubai. Now we are getting ready for a new challenging adventure “Le 24H Dakar 2009”. This race is the first 24H race in Africa and has a lot to offer:

– new and challenging FIA grade 3 racetrack

– escape the winter in Europe and enjoy dry and warm weather

(25°C) in Dakar

– unique African atmosphere, friendly and welcoming people

– perfect to combine with a short exotic holiday

– comfortable beach hotels only 30 minutes from the track offering warm African hospitality

– a chance to combine racing with a safari in a nearby wildlife reserve

Circuit

The circuit Baobabs is a new circuit with a length of 4700 meter and applies all FIA standards. The FIA standards assure a safe track with wide run off areas. The circuit has 21 curves and a minimum width of 12 metres. It is situated near Dakar. The paddock area is around the 12 by 200 meters. To get a good African atmosphere, the pit boxes will be big white tents on the paddock. Every team will get a tent to stall and work on their car. Apart from the fact that Senegal is a safe country, we can ensure complete safety of the team properties as the circuit is completely fenced and there will be 24 hours security. For teams it is also possible to use the circuit as a campsite. This is an ideal budget option.

Transport

Teams who are interested in participating can combine this race with the Dubai race or go directly from Europe to Dakar (Port of Rotterdam, The Netherlands). This transport is included in the entry fee (for one car and two pallets). If you need more space or you would like to have a different way of transport, we can give you a custom made offer for your transport. It is possible to go from Rotterdam directly to Dakar, but we can also take your car from Dubai and some pallets with equipment from Rotterdam to Dakar.

Entry

If you are interested, make your entry now. The entry fee is only 6310EUR (included share of energy costs and event insurance), this includes the transport from Rotterdam to Dakar and back or from Dubai to Dakar and back to Rotterdam. Their will be no VAT from the entry fee charged to you. This offer is valid till the 15^th of December 2008. After this date the entry fee will be 8310EUR (please note that this is 2000EUR extra, partly due to the rising transport costs).

Campsite on the circuit:
For teams it is also possible to use the circuit as a campsite. This is an ideal budget option. If you bring your own tent it costs 100EUR for the complete event.
