welches in diesem Fahrzeug steckt.
stecken.
Verantwortlichen nun weitere Interessante Projekte analysieren.

MULLER AND HUFF SHARES VICTORIES IN BRAZIL

Another WTCC weekend turned into a triumph for Chevrolet, as Yvan Muller and Rob Huff shared victories at Curitiba. This means that 13 races out of the 16 held so far have been won by the blue Cruze cars.
In the first race Muller started from pole position and led home Alain Menu and Huff, while Gabriele Tarquini had to settle in fourth position after he trying in vain to disrupt the Chevrolet trio at the start.
The Italian ace was close to perform a miracle in the second race. For a few laps he led, managing to resist Huffs pressure. Eventually Tarquini had to surrender, losing also second place to Menu. But at least he claimed a well deserved third position ahead of Muller.
The Frenchman has maintained his championship lead and lost onlyone point to Huff, who trails by 17. Menu is third a further 20 points adrift. But with 220 points still at stake in the remaining four events, anything may happen among them.
In the Manufacturers Championship, Chevrolet leads by 243 points and its just one step away from a third consecutive world title. Behind the bow tie brand, BMW and SEAT are split by five points only.
Michel Nykjær was the hero of the Yokohama Trophy. On his WTCC comeback and first races with bamboo-engineering, the Dane won the Race 1 and was second in Race 2. He also collected two brilliant overall results: fifth and sixth, better than his Swedish team-mate Rickard Rydell at Monza earlier this year.
Norbert Michelisz won the second race and this was a crucial result that enabled him to jump on top of the trophy standings, five points ahead of Pepe Oriola who received a time penalty in Race 1 and retired with an engine problem in Race 2.
The championship takes now a long summer break, while cars and parts are being shipped to USA. Rounds 17 and 18 will take place at Sonoma on September 23.

Marus Pommer sprints to victory at Paul Ricard
German takes second F2 win ahead of Tuscher and Zanella
Markus Pommer secured his second Formula Two win of the season with a superb lights-to-flag drive during today’s (Sunday) second race at Paul Ricard.
In sweltering conditions, the 21-year-old got a great start from pole to pull out a small gap over second-place Mathéo Tuscher and maintained it throughout the 19-lap race.. The Swiss racer came home second to round off an impressive weekend for the teenager after his maiden win yesterday and now closes the gap to championship leader Luciano Bacheta. Third place went to Christopher Zanella ahead of Kevin Mirocha with 22-year-old Bacheta completing the top five.
Pommer got away cleanly as the lights went out to lead from Tuscher, with Mirocha getting ahead of Zanella to take third and Bacheta and Mihai Marinescu both getting the jump on Dino Zamparelli. The Brit was determined to retake his position though and came very close to re-passing the Romanian in the opening few laps.
At the front, Pommer was maintaining a 0.7s lead over Tuscher while in the midfield Axcil Jefferies was leading a three-car train for the final points spot. By the halfway stage Pommer had now stretched his lead to more than a second and importantly out of Tuscher’s reach in the Boost Zones.
Zanella then moved up to third after getting past Mirocha up the inside of the chicane with Zamparelli finally getting ahead of Marinescu at the same corner following their lengthy duel. Bacheta also closed in on Mirocha in the final stages but at the front there was no stopping Pommer who now moves up to fourth in the championship standings, just three points shy of Zanella. Meanwhile, Tuscher’s second place helps the 15-year-old cut the deficit to Bacheta to 32.5 points with two rounds (four races) of the season left to play out.
Outside the top five, Zamparelli finished sixth from Marinescu with Daniel McKenzie battling his way back to eighth place. Ninth place went to Plamen Kralev with the Bulgarian claiming his first points finish of the season with Axcil Jefferies ending 10th and his fifth successive top 10 position.
Speaking afterwards Pommer said: "The win feels really good! Everything went well. The car felt good and so was my start. The tyres were great too and it was a fantastic race. Tuscher was quicker than me on the opening few laps but then I was able to pull out a gap and I just drove really smoothly until the end of the race. It’s a great result for my championship and now I can fight for second place."
The Formula Two drivers now have a six-week break until the next rounds which take place at the Hungaroring, Budapest, on 7-9 September. www.formulatwo.com

Markus Pommer powers to pole at Paul Ricard
German just edges out Tuscher with last lap surge
Markus Pommer powered to his second Formula Two pole of the season after edging out Mathéo Tuscher by 0.139s during today’s (Sunday) closely fought second qualifying session at Paul Ricard.
The 21-year-old German put in a last lap surge to pip yesterday’s race-winner with Christopher Zanella securing third at the sun-soaked French circuit. Polish racer Kevin Mirocha ended fourth, after running P2 for much of the session, ahead of Brit Dino Zamparelli.
Track conditions were up on yesterday’s qualifying session with Mihai Marinescu laying down the early benchmark lapping in the 1:54s with Zanella and Mirocha also looking like contenders for the P1 spot.
After their initial runs, all drivers headed to the pits as the halfway point approached with air temperatures now hovering close to 30˚C. Round 11 pole-sitter Tuscher was the first out of the blocks and went straight to the top on his first quick lap, closely followed by Zanella and Luciano Bacheta. The Swiss looked to have it in the bag as the clock ticked down until Pommer put in a superb late lap to clinch his second P1 start of the season after Spa last month.
Meanwhile, 22-year-old Bacheta will be hoping for another storming start in today’s race after only qualifying sixth with Marinescu in seventh and Plamen Kralev recording his best qualifying position to date in eighth. Alex Fontana ended ninth ahead of Daniel McKenzie who finished a disappointing P10 after his podium yesterday.
Speaking afterwards Pommer said: "Yesterday I didn’t get a good start and nearly stalled so I’m hoping for better today! My race pace was off yesterday and my front tyre was blistered which made it un-driveable but for today we made a better and smoother set up which made the car feel good and now I’m optimistic for the race."
Today’s second race gets underway at 14:30 (local time) with full coverage, including live streaming, on the F2 website. www.formulatwo.com

YVAN MULLER GRABS ANOTHER POLE
The Chevrolet Cruze cars completed a clean sweep in todays qualifying at Curitiba. As it was expected Yvan Muller, Alain Menu and Rob Huff monopolized the top three positions, and Michel Nykjær provided the icing on the cake grabbing fourth place on his WTCC comeback.
Just like he had done in the two free practice sessions, Muller was able to go faster than his two team-mates and claimed his third pole position of the season.
Called in at the last minute to replace Pasquale Di Sabatino at bamboo-engineering, Nykjær cproved that he still knows how to be competitive in the WTCC and stole fourth position from Gabriele Tarquini with an impressive last lap in Q2.
For the whole day Tarquini had tried to chase the Chevrolet trio. However, the Italian driver spoiled his first lap in Q2 by driving too wide at the last turn and had to pit for new tyres. This might have jeopardized his chances of achieving a better result than fifth, just ahead of Alex MacDowall and Darryl OYoung.
None of the BMW drivers was ever able to fight for top positions, but eventually Norbert Michelisz and Tom Coronel qualified tenth and ninth, meaning a full BMW front row on the reversed grid for Race 2.

IRC CHAMPION MIKKELSEN RETURNS TO WINNING WAYS IN ROMANIA
*KODA UK driver makes it 25 wins in the IRC for the Czech manufacturer
*Colin McRae Trophy goes to Flodin as Pushkar and Consani score in support categories
Andreas Mikkelsen and co-driver Ola Fløene have claimed KODAs 25th victory in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge with a dominant performance on the Sibiu Rally, which finished in Romanias picturesque Transylvania region this evening.
Mikkelsen, driving a KODA UK Motorsport Fabia Super 2000, led from Fridays opening stage and drove without fault to claim his second win of the season, a result that puts him 49 points clear in his bid to become the first driver to secure back-to-back IRC titles.
Sepp Wiegand was on course for his maiden IRC podium when broken right-rear suspension forced his retirement on stage 10. The KODA Auto Deutschland drivers misfortune promoted Patrik Flodin to second place after the Petter Solberg Engineering driver had fought back from 45th position following early delays. His heroics earned him the prestigious Colin McRae IRC Flat Out Trophy.
François Delecour completed the podium after the 49-year-old French legend overcame a spate of damper failures in his Munaretto Sport Peugeot 207 Super 2000. Delecour was also able to celebrate finishing as the leading Romanian championship runner. Vitaliy Puskhar claimed his first IRC Production Cup event win, while Robert Consani bagged his maiden success in the IRC 2WD Cup after former champion Harry Hunt hit trouble in the closing stages while leading.
Mikkelsen began day two with a comfortable 2m44.1s margin having won all seven stages on Friday and by profiting when several of his key rivals suffered significant time loss. Although Wiegand topped Saturdays opener, Mikkelsen wasnt flustered, citing his cautious approach and his decision to carry two spare tyres compared to one on Friday for his small drop off in pace.
The Norwegian was less circumspect on the mixed-surface Șanta Max run that followed to go fastest before a front-right puncture five kilometres from the finish of stage 10 helped Flodin to a first stage best. But two further stage wins in the afternoon, including the event-closing superspecial on the outskirts of Sibui, ensured a comfortable winning margin of more than five and a half minutes, an IRC record.
We won with a good margin, but it was a very tough event, said Mikkelsen. The roads were very rough and for us it was a case of taking no risks and driving to avoid all the big rocks, especially after wed opened up a big gap by the end of day one. This victory is a fantastic feeling for the whole KODA UK Motorsport team, and if it wasnt for their great work I wouldnt be here. Weve been so close in the last rounds with a lot of second places, so its great to be back on the top step of the podium.
Flodin completed day one in sixth place and frustrated after a costly puncture on stage two caused by a broken wheel rim and the significant delay encountered in the dust clouds that proved such a menace on stages four and seven. But a brace of top-two stage times on Saturday morning rejuvenated the Swede who moved into third when Delecour had to drive through stage nine with a broken front-right shock absorber. Flodin suffered problems of his own on day two, with a broken driveshaft and powersteering glitch affecting his pace through stage 11. However, with Delecour suffering more broken shock absorber woes, Flodins second place was never truly threatened.
Wiegand was almost 2m40s clear in second place when he picked up a puncture on stage 10. Rather than stopping to change the damaged wheel the 21-year-old rising star elected to carry only for his cars right-rear shock absorber to break and force his retirement when a connection failed.
Having been plagued by a spate of punctures on day one, Swiss Michaël Burri was hoping for a change of fortune on Saturday. Instead, an errant stone broke the timing belt on his Saintéloc Racing Peugeot 207, which caused the cars engine to fail. His team-mate Mathieu Arzeno didnt restart following his stage-two exit due to a crack being discovered in the shock absorber top mounting.
Marco Tempestini was in seventh place when his privateer Fabia suffered clutch failure. Dan Girtofan continued under restart rules on day two and set some impressive times in his KODA Romania-backed entry. A broken right-rear wheel ended Gergély Szabós challenge after stage eight. The Hungarian had run as high as second in his Eurosol Fabia, which he was using in competition for the first time.
IRC Production Cup
Valeriy Pushkar impressed with his maiden IRC Production Cup win after fighting back from a double puncture on Saturdays opener. Valentin Porcisteanu started the day leading the category as the top Romanian driver when disaster struck on stage nine: After three kilometers from the start we got a puncture and it damaged the steering, he said. Then the car fell down from the jack, later Vitaliy passed us and we didn’t see anything in the dust. Porcisteanu eventually finished third in class behind team-mate Edwin Keleti. Slovenian lady driver Aska Zupanc took fourth with Bogdan Marisca fifth and Marius Klein sixth. Title leader Andreas Aigner did not restart in his Stohl Racing Subaru Impreza R4 STI following his exit on stage two with broken suspension.
IRC 2WD Cup
Robert Consani landed his first victory in the IRC 2WD Cup in a hugely impressive sixth overall at the wheel of his Renault Clio R3. The French ace trailed Harry Hunt by almost a minute with three stages remaining but took advantage when Hunt was slowed by a broken right-rear shock absorber, which caused two punctures and his rear brakes to falter. Despite the numerous setbacks Hunt fought his way to the finish in second with Vlad Cosma third and Alexandru Filip fourth in another Clio R3. Serban Tomita gave Honda reason to celebrate by heading home category regular Davide Catania in ninth place. The Japanese makes lead driver Martin Kangur was a favourite for victory but a succession of punctures wrecked his hopes, which were finally ended when a rock broke his Civic Type Rs fuel tank on Fridays final run. He elected not to restart on day two.

Mathéo Tuscher becomes youngest F2 winner at Paul Ricard
15-year-old Swiss enters record books with maiden victory
Fifteen-year-old Mathéo Tuscher became the youngest ever winner of a Formula Two race with a dominating lights-to-flag victory during today’s (Saturday) sun-soaked opening race at Paul Ricard.
Adding to his previous five podiums, the Swiss racer stormed away from pole and never looked back to claim his maiden F2 victory on adopted home soil. Luciano Bacheta claimed second to maintain his championship lead finishing ahead of fellow Brit Daniel McKenzie who recovered after getting bogged down at the start. Dino Zamparelli picked up fourth to complete a trio of Brits with German Markus Pommer rounding out the top five in the thrilling 19-lap race.
In warm but windy conditions, Tuscher got a lightning start to lead from Bacheta after the 22-year-old got the jump on a slow starting McKenzie and Pommer from his fourth place grid slot. Zamparelli also got away well to move into fourth with Mihai Marinescu gaining two positions in sixth. Further back, a spin by Plamen Kralev, who tried to get the cutback on Kevin Mirocha, collected Alex Fontana bringing out the safety car and dropping the pair to the back of the grid.
Tuscher got away cleanly as the safety car pulled in but Bacheta was right behind him having a look down the inside of Turn 1 but to no avail. Unsettled, the teenager continued to push as he tried to pull clear of the Boost Zones with his lead just under a second.
McKenzie then made a move on Zamparelli, boosting into Turn 1 to move into fourth and dropping his compatriot into the clutches of Marinescu. Meanwhile, Bacheta was now starting to drop back with Pommer, McKenzie and Zamparelli queuing up behind him.
At the halfway stage, an over zealous Christopher Zanella cut short the chicane after trying unsuccessfully to pass Marinescu, handing him a drive-through penalty. The Swiss racer did eventually recover to finish eighth after taking both Axcil Jefferies and Hector Hurst on the final lap.
Up at the front, McKenzie had got the better of Pommer to retake his podium spot and now hot on the heels of Bacheta. Pommer then lost another place as Zamparelli went past him at Turn 1 with the Brit also trying his luck again with McKenzie.
In the closing stages, Bacheta was coming under strong pressure from both McKenzie and Zamparelli, even going straight on at the chicane, but just managed to hold onto the place. Meanwhile, Mirocha finished just outside the top five ahead of Marinescu with Hurst and Jefferies completing the top 10.
Speaking afterwards Tuscher said: "It was an amazing race. I just kept saying ‚look after the tyres‘ in my head! Luciano was close to me and sometimes he would get closer and then others I would make a small gap. I was a bit stressed when I saw him in second position as I know he can push at the end of races but it looked like he pushed a bit too much at the end!"

WTCC back in action in Brazil
After a long six week break the FIA World Touring Car Championship kicks back into action this weekend with the first of the flyaway races as the cars and drivers head to Curitiba, Brazil for the eighth round of the 2012 season. For the Arena run Team Aon squad, along with drivers Tom Chilton and James Nash, this marks the first time they will have raced at the Brazilian track.
Entering the WTCC for the first time in 2012, Team Aon have already made headway as they look to develop the Global Ford Focus while also racing in the highly competitive series. Having picked up a string of solid results, Chilton and Nash look to Curitiba with confidence after two positive test days at British race track Snetterton earlier this month.
The relatively short Curitiba track features a mixture of high to medium speed corners with a long 1km start/finish straight. This will offer the greatest overtaking opportunity of the lap as the cars have the chance to line up behind one another after the tricky Curva da Vitoria final corner.
Team Aon have been using the time since Portugal to work on the development of the Global Ford Focus. Two test sessions at Snetterton have proved valuable to the team; working on a variety of aspects to the car before heading to yet another brand new circuit as the 2012 season continues with the flyaway races.
Looking ahead to the challenges of another new track Tom Chilton said, Since Portugal weve had two very positive test days at Snetterton where weve been able to learn a lot more about the cars engine, suspension and aero package which stands us in good stead for this race and the rest of the season.
Ive never been to Brazil before but Im looking forward to the challenges of a new track and Im excited to get back out racing after the long break since the last round. From what Ive seen of the circuit the final corner looks as though it could be a challenge for the tyres but we wont really know more until we hit the track on Friday.
Team mate James Nash added, I cant wait to get back into competition. While Ive been really busy with PR and Sponsor work, and a lot of simulator work there is no substitute for getting behind the wheel of a racing car in competition. Since the last event in Portugal the team have been busy testing some developments for the Ford Focus, so I cant wait get on track again and see what steps forward weve made.

THE NO.35 OAK RACING MORGAN-NISSAN CLINCHES MAIDEN VICTORY

Starting from fourth on the grid the Morgan-Nissan driven by Baguette-Enjalbert-Pla had a perfect race and emerged victorious in the Donington 6 Hours. This car was entered by Jacques Nicolet’s team only a few days before the event, and although it was the spearhead of the French squad’s attack it had been hit with problems in the days prior to the race. On Friday it had an engine problem and water in the fuel on Saturday. All these glitches reduced the track time of no.35’s drivers, in particular Olivier Pla whose first time out on the circuit was in qualifying when he set the fourth-fastest time.

Mihai Marinescu storms to victory at Brands Hatch
Romanian claims second win ahead of Zanella and Zamparelli
Mihai Marinescu drove a controlled race from start-to-finish to secure his second Formula Two win of the season during today’s (Sunday) dry race at Brands Hatch.
Starting from pole, the 23-year-old made a lightning start to pull away early on and maintained the gap to Christopher Zanella, including a safety car interruption, to take the chequered flag. Third place went to Dino Zamparelli who capitalised from a slow starting Markus Pommer to claim a maiden F2 podium and end as the top Brit.
Marinescu stormed off the line as the lights went out to lead from Zanella while third-placed Pommer got bogged down to drop to sixth with Kevin Mirocha in fourth and Mathéo Tuscher fifth.
On the opening few laps, the Romanian had already carved out more than a second lead as the Boost Zones became active, with the closest battle lying for ninth place as a train of four cars lined up behind Hector Hurst. That battle ended badly for Kralev as the Bulgarian tried to pass Hurst on the inside of Hawthorns with the two touching and Kralev having a sizeable impact into the barrier.
Meanwhile, the leaders had now opened up a gap to Zamparelli while fifth placed Tuscher appeared to catch the underside of his car exiting Paddock Hill Bend to spin into the barrier, bringing out the safety car on lap 10 – eroding Marinescu’s lead.
Marinescu got away cleanly at the restart and looked at ease as he set about building his advantage, pushing all the way to the flag to end with a gap of almost four seconds. "It feels really good and I am happy that I won," said Marinescu. "I made up some points on the other guys in the championship and that is what I’m aiming for. I had some difficulty in race two at Spa when I crashed in qualifying where I could have made a pole but it doesn’t matter anymore. This is bouncing back!"
Despite sustained pressure from Pommer, Mirocha hung onto his fourth place to complete a strong points haul for the Pole with championship leader Luciano Bacheta finishing sixth ahead of Alex Fontana.
Daniel McKenzie finished ninth in front of Zimbabwean Axcil Jefferies who claimed his third successive points finish with Kourosh Khani taking consolation from his race one crash to claim the final points position.
The next Formula Two rounds take place in one week’s time (20-22 July) at Paul Ricard, France, with full coverage on www.formulatwo.com

Daniel Juncadella triumphiert beim Masters of Formula 3
Temperatur Strecke: 26,5 °C
Temperatur Luft: 20,2 °C
