Hace poco menos de un año que empezó este joven piloto menorquín a rodar por los circuitos de karting, y pronto se está haciendo un puesto entre los mejores.

El joven piloto menorquín, corrió algunas carreras el pasado año 2009, y este año está realizando algunas más de los campeonatos de la Comunidad Valenciana y del Campeonato de Baleares, cosechando ya su primera victoria absoluta en la última prueba disputada en el Circuito Mallorca Renn Arena, donde despuntó consiguiendo la pole y el triunfo final en las dos mangas de carrera.

Ahora, le llega una gran oportunidad, gracias a Mario Gallo, nuevo distribuidor oficial para España, de la marca de chasis BRM Racing.

Miguel, participará en la Copa de Campeones 2010, que se celebrará próximamente en el Circuito del Vendrell en Tarragona, con uno de los nuevos chasis de la categoria cadete, donde Miguel pondrá a prueba su corta experiencia con un material de primera.

Pedro Roca acudirá a la Subida a Guía de Isora

Pedro Roca se desplazará este fin de semana a Tenerife para disputar la última cita del campeonato de España de montaña, la Subida a Guía de Isora. El piloto del Silver-Car acudirá a la cita sin la presión de tener que luchar por el campeonato, ya que en la prueba anterior ya se proclamó campeón de España de la copa CM de montaña, con lo que el único objetivo del mallorquín será obtener la victoria en las dos mangas puntuables para poder así despedir la temporada a lo grande.
La prueba, que contará con un total de 83 vehículos inscritos, 16 de ellos de la clase CM, es nueva en el calendario nacional, y por tanto tendrá la dificultat añadido del desconocimiento del terrero.

Rob Huff continued his good form to claim pole position for tomorrow’s Race of Macau. The Briton claimed his second pole of the season after Brno and followed on from his success in 2009 when he also secured pole and victory in Race 1. Rookie Norbert Michelisz put in a great final lap to finish second quickest, but will start the race in seventh after receiving a 5-position grid penalty. Chevrolet’s newly crowned World Champion Yvan Muller was third while Hong Kong’s Darryl O’Young was the best independent in ninth.

Q2 – After yesterday’s qualifying session in Macau came to a premature end as darkness fell, the postponed 15-minute final top ten shootout took place in Macau this morning. After Q1 the drivers going through into Q2 were Yvan Muller from Rob Huff, Tiago Monteiro, Alain Menu, Norbert Michelisz, Darryl O’Young, Gabriele Tarquini, Andy Priaulx, Augusto Farfus and André Couto.
Huff was the first to top the times as Muller went into the barrier at the Lisboa Bend ruining his first lap and Couto’s but rejoined with the pair, alongside Monteiro, heading straight back into the pits. After the first completed laps Huff was quickest from Farfus, Menu, Tarquini, Priaulx, O’Young and Michelisz.
Farfus then clipped the tyres at the Lisboa and pitted for the rest of the session while O’Young went on to clock a second flying lap on his first run.
With his Chevrolet Cruze taped up following the damage, Muller came out to complete his only quick lap, moving up to second. Huff improved his earlier time to a 2:31.321 to secure pole while Michelisz put in a great final lap to demote Muller from second.
The final order at the chequered flag was Huff from Michelisz, Muller, Menu, Monteiro, Farfus, Tarquini, Priaulx, O’Young and Couto. With Michelisz’s penalty it leaves a trio of Chevrolets at the front putting them in an ideal position to secure the Manufacturers‘ Championship tomorrow.

Im zweiten Zeittraining des Grand Prix von Macau auf dem 6,12 Kilometer langen Circuito da Guia, das auf dem Samstagvormittag verschoben wurde, setzte sich Edoardo Mortara (Signature, 2:11,165 Minuten) durch. Der amtierende Champion der Formel 3 Euro Serie und Titelverteidiger des Grand Prix von Macau startet somit von der Pole-Position in das Qualifikationsrennen. Valtteri Bottas (Prema Powerteam, 2:11,383 Minuten) schob sich erst in den letzten Augenblicken an die zweite Stelle und verdrängte Laurens Vanthoor (Signature, 2:11,594 Minuten) auf Platz drei. Im Qualifying, das zwei Mal unterbrochen werden musste, schafften fünf Fahrer aus der Formel 3 Euro Serie den Sprung in die Top Sechs.
Hinter Mortara, Bottas und Vanthoor reihten sich die Macau-Neulinge Daniel Abt (Signature, 2:11,919 Minuten) und Marco Wittmann (Signature, 2:11,937 Minuten) ein. Damit fuhren alle vier Fahrer des im vergangenen Jahr siegreichen Signature-Teams unter die ersten Fünf. Roberto Merhi (Prema Powerteam, 2:12,063 Minuten) als Sechster und Macau-Neuling Daniel Juncadella (Prema Powerteam, 2:12,861 Minuten) auf Position zehn sorgten auch bei Prema für strahlende Gesichter. Die Italiener brachten alle ihre Fahrer in die Top Ten.
Edoardo Mortara (Signature): Es fühlt sich gut an, nach dem Qualifying ganz vorne zu stehen, es ist ein guter Start in das Macau-Wochenende. Wir hatten dieses Mal einige Probleme in der hügeligen Passage der Strecke, die in den Jahren zuvor unsere Stärke gewesen war. Ich denke, ich hatte auch etwas mehr Glück als Valtteri, der hier wirklich sehr schnell ist.
Valtteri Bottas (Prema Powerteam): Es war nicht einfach, wegen der roten Flaggen zu Beginn den Rhythmus zu finden. Dann touchierte ich noch leicht die Streckenbegrenzung und musste an die Box. Trotz eines krummen Lenkrades hat es in der letzte Runde dann doch noch für Platz zwei gereicht.
Laurens Vanthoor (Signature): Ich bin mit Rang drei ganz zufrieden. In meinen letzten beiden Runden haben mich gelbe Flaggen und eine Berührung mit der Leitplanke an einer Verbesserung gehindert.

Abschied von Serienpartner Dunlop

Wiesbaden. Nach mehrmonatigen Verhandlungen haben Vorstand und Beirat von DTM-Rechteinhaber und -vermarkter ITR e.V. sowie die Geschäftsführung der Goodyear Dunlop Tires Germany GmbH heute gemeinsam bekannt gegeben, dass der am 31. Dezember 2010 auslaufende Sponsoring-Vertrag nicht verlängert wird. Nach einer stets kooperativen Serienpartnerschaft über elf Jahre endet auch die Belieferung der Automobilhersteller Audi und Mercedes-Benz mit Einheitsreifen von Dunlop für den Einsatz im Rahmen der DTM. Es ist schade, dass wir mit Dunlop einen langjährigen DTM Partner aus der DTM-Familie verlieren. Es spricht aber für die Partnerschaft, dass sich die Verantwortlichen im Guten trennen, so Dr. Thomas Betzler, 2. Vorsitzender des Vorstands, ITR e.V.
Die Verhandlungen bezüglich des neuen Reifen- und Serienpartners ab der Saison 2011 laufen aktuell und werden kurzfristig nach Vertragsunterzeichnung kommuniziert.

La Escudería MNL en la última prueba del CEV

La Escudería Mallorca New Limit se encuentra desde este jueves en tierras andaluzas, donde participará este domingo 21 de noviembre en la última prueba del Campeonato de España de Velocidad, que se celebra en el Circuito de Jerez de la Frontera.

Sus dos pilotos, Ángel Poyatos y Alfonso Alcaide, ambos deportistas del CTEIB/EBE, correrán en 125GP y Stock Extreme respectivamente, en un año en el que el objetivo es adquirir la mayor experiencia posible en su primera participación en el CEV, un certamen con un nivel muy alto, antesala del Mundial de Motociclismo.

Hace tan sólo una semana la escudería mallorquina, dirigida por Luis Borrás, ya participó en la carrera anterior de este campeonato celebrada en el Circuito Ricardo Tormo de Valencia, donde Ángel Poyatos, que salía desde la posición 41 de la parrilla, se clasificó en la 22ª plaza, siendo el 9º piloto español. Por su parte Alfonso Alcaide también recuperó varias posiciones, saliendo de la 23ª y pasando por la linea de meta en la 18ª.

Unos buenos resultados, sobre todo si tenemos en cuenta que en esta carrera se batieron los récords de pilotos inscritos, con 59 en 125GP y 49 Stock Extreme.

Joan Perelló en el CEV de Jerez

El circuito andaluz de Jerez de la Frontera será el escenario, este próximo fin de semana, de la última prueba del Campeonato de España de Velocidad (CEV), que contará con la participación del piloto balear Joan Perelló, integrado en el equipo Honda SAG Castrol de Eduardo Perales.

Este viernes se han realizado los primeros entrenos privados, donde el deportista del CTEIB/EBE ha realizado la primera toma de contacto con el trazado jerezano, con el objetivo de poner la moto a punto de cara a las clasificatorias del sábado, que compondrán la parrilla de salida.

Trás seis carreras, Joan se encuentra situado en la octava plaza, empatado a puntos con el séptimo clasificado, a dos puntos del sexto, a 8 del quinto y a 13 del cuarto, y aunque es difícil, una buena actuación del mallorquín le podría hacer remontar varias posiciones.

Todo el equipo Honda SAG Castrol, con su jefe de mecánicos Gorka Segura al frente, está trabajando muy duro para que Perelló tenga la posibilidad de acabar la temporada entre los top-cinco del CEV, un resultado que sin duda dejaría un buen sabor de boca después de todos los problemas acaecidos en las últimas carreras.

Jolyon Palmer to test GP2 in Abu Dhabi

FIA Formula Two Championship runner up Jolyon Palmer will take part in all four days of the official GP2 tests at Abu Dhabi on 23/24 and 27/28 November. The 19-year-old will drive for iSport on the first two days, and then Addax and ART on the third and fourth days respectively.
Palmer had a very impressive 2010 season in F2, taking five wins and ten podiums to clinch second in the championship. He is now targeting progression to GP2 for 2011.
"After finishing second in F2 this season, GP2 is the logical next step," explained Palmer, "I would love to be racing there in 2011 and would hope I could do a good job. However GP2 is clearly hugely competitive and it is important for me to take advantage of every bit of test time prior to the start of the 2011 season to begin learning."
"We wanted to have the best possible opportunity for me to try and prove my potential and teams to evaluate my ability. I am delighted that leading GP2 teams iSport, Addax and ART have all been sufficiently impressed with my F2 performance to give me the opportunity to join them, which I really appreciate".
Palmer admits that driving a GP2 car at Abu Dhabi for the first time is going to be a major challenge. "In some ways it’s hard to know what to expect," Palmer said, "it’s a new car, a new track and there will be many drivers with more experience than me, but I’m confident I can do a good job."
"Testing with three of the leading teams obviously adds a bit of pressure, but while it would be good to finish high up the order, it’s also important for me to be pleased with my own performance and understand my strengths and weaknesses. Ultimately I need to impress the teams and show them I have potential, and I’m confident I can do that."
Jolyon also paid tribute to the impact Formula Two has had on his career, saying: "F2 has been brilliant this year. I have learnt a huge amount and F2 has been great for my confidence because I know I genuinely outperformed all but one driver in a field of 20 identical cars.
"My main focus at Abu Dhabi is obviously doing the business out on circuit, but it’s also important to give good feedback and build relations within the teams. I want to be in GP2 next year and through this test programme I know I have the opportunity to prove I deserve it."

Skoda to begin IRC title defence in Monte Carlo

Skoda Motorsport will begin the defence of its Intercontinental Rally Challenge manufacturers‘ title on Rallye Monte-Carlo from January 18-22.
The Czech make, which also guided Juho Hanninen to the IRC drivers‘ crown in 2010, will field a brace of factory-prepared Fabia S2000s for Finn Hanninen and co-driver Mikko Markkula plus Czech pair Jan Kopecky and Petr Stary. Several other Skodas will also be in action on the event.
Skoda Motorsport head Michal Hrabanek said: "The Monte Carlo Rally is very special to us, especially because it is where we made our debut with the Fabia Super 2000 in 2009. This is going to be the 100th year of the event, and Skoda Auto is going to celebrate 110 years of its motorsport efforts next year, which certainly is an interesting combination. Furthermore, this rally is one of the best races the whole world of motorsport offers, and we are highly motivated to succeed there."
Rallye Monte-Carlo will once again form the opening round of the IRC series. On the event earlier this year, Hanninen finished second with Nicolas Vouilloz claiming third in a factory-supported Fabia backed by Skoda’s French importer.

Barros impressed by Mecsek organisation

Peugeot Sport Portugal boss Carlos Barros has praised the organisation of the Mecsek Rallye in Hungary, which will join the Intercontinental Rally Challenge schedule for the first time next year.
Barros was in the country last month to follow the 43rd running of the rally, titled the Allianz Rallye in deference to its title sponsor. The rally has enjoyed IRC Supporter Event status for the last two seasons.
"The organisation was very good and the way things were run was very impressive," said Barros, who oversaw Bruno Magalhaes‘ successful IRC bid in 2010. "The stages this year were all on Tarmac but next year there will be gravel as well and this will be interesting."
Barros drove through the stages in a safety vehicle and reported large numbers of spectators lining the route: "It was one hour before the stage went live but already there were a lot of people around. Rallying is clearly popular in Hungary are there were some good drivers in action."
The Mecsek Rallye is scheduled to run from 9-11 September, 2011, and will count as round nine of the IRC.

Van Dalen predicts bright future for Neuville

Thierry Neuville has been tipped for greatness by the man responsible for running his Team Peugeot-Luxembourg 207 Super 2000.
Neuville, 22, impressed throughout this six-event Intercontinental Rally Challenge campaign this season, claiming a podium finish on the Geko Ypres Rally in June on his way to ninth overall in the final drivers‘ standings.
Although the German-speaking Belgian has yet to finalise his programme for 2011, it is expected that he will mount an expanded assault on the 12-event IRC series.
Van Dalen said: "Thierry is very good and is improving all of the time. There’s still a lot for him to learn, but he is 22 years old and clearly a star for the future.
"At the start of Rally of Scotland he was around 1.7s per kilometre slower than the drivers at the front, but then he soon got that down to less than one second per kilometre slower, which is very impressive. He did not know Scotland but he learned the event and the surface very quickly and it was not an easy rally to learn. Okay, he made a mistake at the end, but this can happen."

Gardemeister enters Rallye Monte-Carlo

Toni Gardemeister has entered the centenary edition of Rallye Monte-Carlo, the opening round of next year’s Intercontinental Rally Challenge.
Gardemeister, from Finland, has yet to confirm what car he will use on the event but believes he can fight for victory after scoring two podium finishes on the famous rally in the past.
"We’ve entered the rally because there is a promise of free entry for 100 drivers," said the 35-year-old. "It is more than 50 per cent sure I will be there but I am still trying to find the right possibilities for the car and will see what is going on. If I can get a competitive car with a good tyre package then I believe I can win, why not? But if I want to get a good result in Monte for sure I need to test the car a lot before. Hopefully I can get this deal."
Gardemeister’s last appearance on the IRC qualifier last January ended in retirement when his Abarth Grande Punto S2000 broke down on the final morning of the event after he had challenged for a points finish.

FIN DE FIESTA PARA LA COPA CONSELL DE MALLORCA DE MINICROSS

El próximo domingo 21 de noviembre tendrá lugar en el Circuito de Can Picafort la sexta y última prueba puntuable para la Copa Consell de Mallorca de Minicross 2010, un campeonato de promoción creado por 100 Emocions y organizado conjuntamente con el Motoclub Felanitx, para los pilotos de base del motocross, y que cuenta con el patrocinio del Consell de Mallorca, además de la colaboración del Ajuntament de Santa Margalida, Área dEsports de Can Picafort y Federación Balear de Motociclismo y de otras grandes empresas como Sa Nostra, Neumáticos Binisalem, Outlet Moto, Palmabat BP, Cocacola e IBmotor. Entre dichos patrocinadores y colaboradores se ha conseguido asentar un campeonato que celebra su segunda edición y que este domingo va a repartir casi dos mil euros en premios para los mejores clasificados y multitud de obsequios para todos los participantes.

En la categoría Iniciación Luis Marco, Miguel Tanco, Alessandro Finzi y Pere Mas cuentan con opciones a la victoria final, en la categoría Minicross el máximo favorito es Jordi Portell, con Sergio Morales y Roberto Giglioni a sus espaldas, mientras que en 65 cc el título se decidirá entre Nacho Alcoceba, Toni Ferrer y Guiem Martí.

Las verificaciones técnicas tendrán lugar a las 9 de la mañana, para posteriormente celebrarse todas las mangas de competición que decidirán a los campeones de las tres categorías, Iniciación, Minicross y 65 cc, y finalmente, sobre las 13.00 h tendrá lugar la entrega de trofeos, premios y regalos, con la presencia de las autoridades y representantes de las firmas patrocinadoras.

Das erste Qualifying zum Formel-3-Grand-Prix von Macau wurde von den Piloten der Formel 3 Euro Serie bestimmt. Edoardo Mortara (Signature, 2:13,068 Minuten) war Schnellster vor Valtteri Bottas (Prema Powerteam, 2:13,181 Minuten). Marco Wittmann (Signature, 2:13,593 Minuten) belegte den dritten Rang und war bester Neuling auf der 6,21 Kilometer langen Strecke durch die Straßen der ehemaligen portugiesischen Kolonie.
Bottas führte das 30 Mann starke Feld in der ersten Hälfte an, doch dann wurde er von Titelverteidiger Mortara verdrängt. Marco Wittmann und Laurens Vanthoor (Signature, 2:13,925 Minuten) komplettierten die ersten vier Positionen, in der sich wie zuvor schon im Freien Training nur Teilnehmer der Euro Serie wiederfanden.
Bereits im ersten Qualifying lernten die Piloten auch die Schwierigkeiten der Strecke kennen, die als eine der größten Herausforderung im Formel-3-Kalender gilt. Daniel Juncadella (Prema Powerteam, 2:20,892 Minuten) konnte nach gut zehn Minuten eine Kollision in die Reifenstapel nicht mehr verhindern und sorgte für die einzige Unterbrechung der Session. Zehn Minuten nach dem Spanier fuhr Jazeman Jaafar (Carlin, 2:16,124 Minuten) in die Streckenbegrenzung; die Rennleitung schwenkte dieses Mal aber nur gelbe Flaggen.
Edoardo Mortara (Signature): Es war ein guter Start in das Wochenende, aber es war nur das erste Qualifying. Wichtiger wird es sein, morgen im zweiten Qualifying schnell zu sein. Unser Hauptaugenmerk lag heute darauf, die beste Abstimmung zu finden. Mein Auto lag gut und ich hatte alles unter Kontrolle.
Valtteri Bottas (Prema Powerteam): Mein Auto war gut und mein Motor fühlte sich gut an – ich bin bisher wirklich zufrieden. Ich habe absichtlich nicht viel riskiert, denn im zweiten Qualifying morgen wird es erfahrungsgemäß sicher mindestens eine Sekunde pro Runde schneller gehen.
Marco Wittmann (Signature): Für einen Macau-Neuling ist Rang drei im ersten Qualifying sicher nicht schlecht, zumal ich nur eine halbe Sekunde hinter Edoardo liege, der schon zum vierten Mal hier fährt. Leider funktionierte die Datenaufzeichnung meines Autos im Freien Training nicht, so dass ich meine Runden nicht mit denen meiner Teamkollegen vergleichen konnte. Sonst hätte ich vielleicht noch mehr Verbesserungspotenzial finden können.

The 2011 Tour Auto Optic 2ooo itinerary is finally revealed. From 11 to 16 April 2011, the competitors will criss-cross routes and circuits of the West of France. After a start from the Jardin des Tuileries, the crews will make stopovers at Poitiers, Objat/Brive La Gaillarde, Bordeaux, Pau for an arrival at Biarritz. A journey spiced with four special stages on circuits: the Bugatti, Val de Vienne, Nogaro and Pau Arnos. The occasion for spectators to admire over 200 classic cars. Among them, the famous Zagatos which contributed to the history of the Tour de France Automobile. This twentieth edition will be paying them a special tribute.

Am kommenden Wochenende steht das letzte wichtige Formel-3-Rennen der Saison 2010 auf dem Programm. Schauplatz des inoffiziellen Weltfinales ist der 6,21 Kilometer lange Stadtkurs in der ehemaligen portugiesischen Kolonie Macau. Aus der Formel 3 Euro Serie stellen sich neun aktuelle Fahrer und drei Teams dem Wettbewerb am südchinesischen Meer. Die Gruppe der Euro-Serie-Piloten wird angeführt von Macau-Titelverteidiger Edoardo Mortara (Signature), der gleichzeitig aktueller Champion der Euro Serie ist.
Mortara gewann im vergangenen Jahr vor Jean-Karl Vernay und Sam Bird den traditionellen Grand Prix von Macau. Damit standen 2009 nur Starter der Formel 3 Euro Serie auf dem Siegerpodest. Mit dem damaligen ART-Grand-Prix-Piloten Valtteri Bottas (Prema Powerteam) auf Rang fünf klassierten sich damals sogar vier Euro-Serie-Fahrer in den Top Five. Wie Mortara wird auch Bottas dieses Jahr in Macau starten; der Finne fährt für das Prema Powerteam. Marco Wittmann (Signature), Vize-Champion der Euro Serie, zählt bei seinem ersten Macau-Start ebenfalls zu den Favoriten. Das Team der Motopark Academy nimmt mit dem ehemaligen Euro-Serie-Piloten Renger van der Zande und Kimiya Sato seine erste Teilnahme am Formel-3-Grand-Prix von Macau in Angriff.
Edoardo Mortara (Signature): Ich habe gute Erinnerungen an Macau, denn die Rennen in den Jahren 2008 und 2009 verliefen sehr gut für mich. Ich glaube, wir werden auch in diesem Jahr wieder konkurrenzfähig sein, denn die Strecke scheint mir und meinem Team Signature zu liegen. Ob es dann auch für den Sieg reichen wird, kann man gerade in Macau nie vorhersagen. Denn neben dem Speed muss man dort auch immer das Glück haben, nicht in einen Unfall verwickelt zu werden und von technischen Problemen verschont zu bleiben.

3ª Carrera Copa RennArena-FBEA

Con esta 3ª carrera a disputar este próximo domingo día 21 llegamos al final del Trofeo COPA RENNARENA 2010. Otra vez como en la anterior carrera, la propiedad del circuito Mallorca RennArena y los Hoteles Milton, Nixe Palace y Es Ratxo, dan premios extra a los ganadores. Esperamos otra vez ofrecer un buen espectáculo con las 11 carreras de los distintos grupos, unido a las cuatro exhibiciones que realizarán los pilotos de Drifting, que esta vez han aumentado su tiempo de exhibición, y que también realizarán más variantes además de un final espectacular de quema de neumáticos.

Las carreras se iniciarán a las 11horas y tienen su finalización prevista a las 17 horas. El aficionado podrá disfrutar de las evoluciones de los vehículos, con estas 6 horas continuas de carreras, además del espectacular Drifting.

La FBEA les agradece sinceramente toda la colaboración mediática que han tenido con nuestro deporte, y como siempre les invitamos a presenciar este próximo domingo nuestro espectáculo deportivo, y les recordamos que para entrar en el recinto basta que se identifiquen verbalmente como al medio a que representan.

Der Radical SR3 SL ist die Synthese aus dem rennerprobten Chassis und den überragenden Aerodynamikeigenschaften des Erfolgsmodells Radical SR3 RS und einem von Powertec modifizierten Ford Turbomotor neuester Generation. Radical hat die ultimative straßenzugelassene Fahrmaschine für den ambitionierten Fahrer geschaffen.
Das 2.0 Liter Aggregat mit Turbolader und variablen Steuerzeiten der Ein- und Auslassventile verfügt über satte 300 PS. Die Kraftübertragung wird über ein sequentielles Sechs-Gang-Getriebe hergestellt.
